Company profile

Delta Sunshine Taxi and Tsawwassen Taxi are a pair of Canadian success stories that have been operating in the Lower Mainland and Washington State for at least three decades.  In 1972, visionary leadership saw an opportunity to improve the friendly, efficient, and cost-effective taxi service of Delta Taxi by joining forces with Tsawwassen Taxi, who already shared a common customer base in Surrey, Delta, Ladner, and Tsawwassen, and operating both companies under the same management ever since.

Together, we have a combined total of 68 cars which also includes vans.  Our taxis and taxi-vans mainly operate in Surrey, Delta, Ladner, Tsawwassen and at the Vancouver International Airport (YVR).  The cars are driven by well trained and licensed drivers.  Our fleet is fully loaded, clean and air-conditioned which provide comfort and satisfaction to our customers.

 
Growth

As of 2009, we are the largest fleet servicing the Vancouver Airport (YVR).

 
Technology

We utilize digital dispatch which enhances customer service by improving scheduling and response times, and our system for processing all major credit cards.  We also continue to maintain voice dispatch systems as a preventive measure against digital failure.

 
Corporate governance

We are active members in both the Delta Chambre of Commerce, and the Surrey Board of Trade.  We also maintain membership in the BC Taxi Association, and the Lower Mainland Taxi Association.

Our company strictly adheres to the Taxi Bill of Rights, a recently added Provincial regulation.
